Description
Join us for a no-holds barred conversation with Congressman Tom McClintock on the issues that directly affect California and our country. “An Evening with Congressman Tom McClintock” is the focus of SPARC’s speaker series virtual event at 6:30 pm on June 18.
Congressman Tom McClintock represents the 5th District of California which includes the historic Sierra Nevada foothills and the fertile Central Valley. It stretches from Placerville to Modesto, through the Yosemite Valley and on to Kings Canyon.
As an outspoken member of the House Budget Committee, McClintock has proposed major fiscal reforms to curb unauthorized appropriations, control mandatory spending, balance the budget and protect the nation’s credit. He is a senior member of the House Natural Resources Committee where he has advocated construction of new reservoirs and land management policies to promote forest health, public access and fire prevention. He chairs the Subcommittee on Federal Lands and serves on the Subcommittee on Water and Power, which he chaired from 2011 to 2015.
Prior to his election to Congress, McClintock served 22 years in the California legislature, where he became one of its most recognized conservative leaders.
The Sierra Chapter and the statewide California Congress of Republicans (CCR) is pleased to co-host this event with SPARC. This is a virtual event via Zoom and can be accessed through your computer, tablet or smartphone. A link to the meeting will be sent by email once you register for the event.
